Celebrating Differences

What are the differences between people of this world? Do we need them? Answer these questions with Subhashree Sathe.

Let’s start with a question, what separates countries from each other? Most of you will answer political boundaries unless you are a racist. But what are political boundaries? Well, I see them only as imaginary lines drawn by x person for administration purposes. But do we all actually see them like that? Well most of us don’t.

Utopia wouldn’t be that far if we actually start thinking about political boundaries only as imaginary lines. It is so sad that we converted these imaginary things into something so huge that went unit two huge wars that led to destruction of so much physical and human property.

Thinking about why this must have happened is because those pieces of land divided by those imaginary lines went short of resources and eyed the resources in the other part. Well who wasted or rather overused the resources that we already had? Well the answer is quite obvious. So the greed to have everything and anything is what made all this a big deal. Why do we need everything? Why can’t we be satisfied with what we already have? The answer to that question brings me to power.

People bare hungry for power, which they will get only if they have resources and to get those resources they will overpower other people facing the same problem. So in the whole process, a lot if resources get destroyed and we are back to square 1, short of resources. The ever sensible process, that has been going on for years.

Well instead of just realizing the stupidity in the whole process let us step up to actually make a difference to celebrate difference. If political boundaries don’t remain such a big deal then maybe dealing problems within a country becomes easier.
