REUSE India :- Who we are and what we do?

Learn about and join a great student led initiative for the betterment of the society. Introducing our brand partner REUSE India.

Electronic waste or e-waste is an exponentially growing problem of the world. E-waste comprises of a horde of components, some may have toxic substances that can have a detrimental impact on human health and the environment. In India, e-waste management undertakes monumental significance as it is one of the top 5 countries in E-waste generation. This is coupled with India's lack of appropriate procedures for its disposal and recycling.

REUSE India tackles this challenge through collection drives and awareness drives. Our battle against e-waste has also led us to:

  • Be the official e-waste recycler for La Lagune, Golf Course Road, Gurgaon organizing several awareness sessions with society’s support staff

  • Launch merchandising this year, which sold out in under a week

  • Being accredited as the the official Social Work Partners for The Ingenium Fest, Bandra, Mumbai (sponsored by Coke, Nestle and Vodafone)

  • Conduct several collection and awareness drives across Delhi, Bangalore and Gurgaon

  • Partner with YouthNet for operations in Nagaland

Our founders, Rishit Jain and Parinita Bali have strategically planned and expanded to 4 states; one of which is Maharashtra which, according to The Times of India, “contributes the largest e-waste of 19.8%.” Our design team, Anushka Barthwal, Devangi Verma and Sankalp Varshney have put in constant efforts to produce the best quality merchandise, which is then further advocated by our social media head, Shivangi Das.
