Rohingya crisis is one of the most inhumanitarian affair going on in the world right now.
Rohingyas originally are the ethnic minorities of Myanmar and represent the largest percentage of Muslims in the country, currently living in the Rakhine State of Myanmar. It is indeed very disheartening to know that the government of Myanmar had been torturing and killing thousands of Rohingyas since a very long time.
The government has systematically isolated this ethnic minority, as well as exploited them. Adding to it, more than 200 villages of Rohingya Muslims were burnt by the special forces, and women were raped and men and children brutally killed.
The scenario after this was even worse. The refugee boats going to other countries to seek asylum were under gun fire by the military.
The Myanmar Government has never allowed citizenship status to rohingyas, thus not only making them stateless, but also resulting in no legal documentation of theirs.
Now the question arises, who is responsible?
Everyone. From the government of Myanmar, to the military, to the international organisations.
Nobody has made any efforts to actually solve the problem. All we hear are statements made by political leaders and Human Rights activists.
At this point of time, the intergovernmental regional organisation, ASEAN, has undeniable responsibility to resolve the crisis.
In all, no human deserves such inhumane and cruel treatment as done on the rohingyas.
